What is CRO?

The discipline that raises the share of visitors who become contacts, without buying more traffic.

CRO · conversion optimization

CRO (conversion rate optimization) is the methodical improvement of a site or page so that a larger share of existing visitors takes action: clearer message, more visible proof, shorter form, faster page. You measure, form a hypothesis, test, keep what wins.

A concrete example

Example

A landing page goes from 3% to 5% conversion after clarifying the headline and shortening the form: with the same ad budget, the cost per lead drops by 40%.

Why it matters

CRO is the silent multiplier of your whole acquisition: every point of conversion gained mechanically lowers the cost of all your channels at once, paid and organic alike. It is often a more profitable lever than a budget increase, and it compounds.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I start with CRO?
With the pages that receive the most high-intent traffic: the homepage and your campaign landing pages. Check in order the message (understood in 5 seconds?), the proof, the requested action and mobile speed.
Do I need a lot of traffic for CRO?
For statistically solid A/B tests, yes. With little traffic, apply the proven fundamentals first (message, proof, friction) and measure before/after by period: less pure methodologically, but very effective.
